The paper  researches on voltage/current output of constant potential rectifier measuring by CIPS and changes of pipe-to-soil potential of  buried pipeline with the ON/OFF cycle of  current interrupter .meanwhile , systematically suggests that Off cycle is appropriate  with cathodic protection system and the influence of On cycle to ON/OFF potential .

In this paper, we studied variation of voltage / current output and variation of the buried pipeline pipe-to-soil potential with on-off cycle of the current interrupter during the interval potential method (CIPS) measurement process were and thereby systematically described reasonable design of off cycle under the existing cathodic protection system and the impact of on cycle to pipe-to-soil on/off potential.
