My POST ADDRESS
Dear Mr. xx:
The Department of xxUniversity extends an invitation to you as a Visiting Scholar (questionnaire attached) per your confirming e-mail that you are not a
student. Your visit to the Department is for the period of October 2011 to September 2012.
While at xx, you will be conducting comparative studies with Dr. xx.
The Department of xx will not be paying you a salary. However, you will
be provided with work space and access to the library. In addition, you will be expected to arrive with your own medical insurance (see attached), which should also cover the repatriation of remains in case of death.
We look forward to your visit and hope that it will lead to a productive collaboration.
Sincerely,
xx

The Department of xxUniversity extends an invitation to you ...
