issue 15 The stability of a society depends on how it responds to the extreme of human behavior. 一个社会的稳定取决于该社会对人们极端行为所作出的反应 Position: agree Outline:1 analyze the reason that bring about the extreme 2 suggest some proper solutions to the extreme. In the era of increasingly developed society, our human beings have achieved great success in improving our life quality, making every individuals feel more and more convenient and comfortable, but at the same time, we also meet many problems such as the extreme of human behavior. Finding an effective solution to extreme of human behavior has a great significance in keep our society stable. First, turn to the reasons for the extreme of human behavior. Anything in this world is not being isolated, but owns some relationship with other things. In order to find a great solution to the extreme of human behavior, it is crucial for us to get the reasons those bring it to us. In my view, there are thoroughly two aspects for us to find solution. on one hand, from the individual aspect. Everyone in the society needs some basic resources to sustain themselves and their families. This is the most crucial need for everyone and indeed maybe also the very reason that most likely to lead individual to take some extremely actions toward our society. So, every individual should have a sense of responsibility for our society and own a good value system to evaluate everything takes place in their lives. On the other hand, from the society aspect. Admittedly, in the past 100 years, our society has made great achievement, enriching our people's life largely. However, there are still many problems that come to our eyes during this process and we could not neglect them unless we have lost hope for our lives. Consider, for example, the unemployment in our society that brings about the crime and other illegalities. Maybe someone will claim that unemployment is not the only reason for our ever-increasing crime rate, but, in some sense, it is the most direct reason, in my view. there are still many problems that may bring about the extreme toward our society, such as terrorism, poverty, and drug. so, as for a stable society, as for a responsible government ,it is essential to realize the key role and cope with this proper. Second, turn to the measure our society should take to cope with these problems that lead us to today’s situation. Someone may suggest that suppression is the most effective and at lowest cost. However, in my view, this is also, in some sense, the worst method to resolve problems, and it is not necessarily at lowest cost. Suppression in dealing with society problems just only aggravates problems and only takes effect in very short time. So, on the contrary, we should take a more long-term and constructive approach to these problems, such as keeping regular and constructive communication between government and populace. To sum up, realizing the key role of responding to the extreme of human behavior is crucial for the stability of society. And, what's more important is that finding an effective solution to the extreme. |
