While mechanical automation may have diminished our quality of life, on balance, digital automation is doing more to improve life than to undermine its quality. First consider mechanical automation, particularly assembly-line manufacturing. With automation came a loss of pride in and alienation from one’s work. In this sense, automation both diminished our quality of life and rendered us slaves to machines in our inability to reverse” progress.” Admittedly, mechanical automation spawned entire industries, creating jobs, stimulating economic growth, and supplying a plethora of innovative conveniences. Nevertheless, the sociological and environmental price of progress may have outweighed its benefits. Next consider digital technology, Admittedly, this newer from of technology has brought its own brand of alienation, and has adversely affected our quality of life in other ways as well. For example, computer automation, and especially the Internet, breeds information overload and steals our time and attention away from family, community, and coworkers. In these respects, digital technology tends to diminish our quality of life and create its own legion of human slaves. On the other hand, by relegating repetitive tasks to computers, digital technology has spawned great advances in medicine and physics, helping us to better understand the world, to enhance our health, and to prolong our lives. Digital automation has also emancipated architects, artists, designers, and musicians, by expanding creative possibilities and by saving time. Perhaps most important however, information technology makes possible universal access to information, thereby providing a democratizing influence on our culture. In sum, while mechanical automation may have created a society of slaves to modern conveniences and unfulfilling work, digital automation holds more promise for improving our lives without enslaving us to the technology. With the rapid of developed of technology, so many unwanted consequences was brought, but it also change our lives comfortable. On balance, however I partly agree with the notion that technology may decrease our life’s qualities. Firstly, the endlessly developing technology brings us today’s prosperity which we cannot undeniable. We all can feel that, due to the communication technology the world is get smaller than before. For example, wherever we are, we may use mobile phone, e-mail, worldwide web, even wireless computer network to get contact with each other. And express deliveries in nowadays include highway, subway, airline and so on. Of course, people can to go anywhere they want freely and conveniently by plane, cars, or magnetic suspension train. The technologies also improve people’s working efficiency and their entertainment because they can use high-speed computer, facsimile machine, printing machine or net meeting when they at work, and when they after work there are more various to choose such as watching TV or DVD problem, listening CD or mp3, playing net games and singing karaoke. All of these show that, because of the human being’s wisdoms, we lived in a highly civilized and developed society. On the other hand, when we enjoy the conveniences that supplied by technology, at the same time we suffer accompanying problems and troubles. For instance, as air-conditioning were used in mass production, people realized that our environment was more and more deteriorated; as food industry is developing, people gradually realized that the food they eat are less natural but added by various chemical ingredients which would do harm to our health. People also do not aware of or unable to predict those problems at the beginning they explored, because all of them are byproducts of technology development. We also take transportation and communication for example. Before more and more cars are created the traffic problem has become a serious problems to many countries. And in big cities there are so many traffic jams that sometimes walk to home is faster than by car. The accident also causes many people to die every year. More convenient communication has cause many problems too. Such as many people especially the youth have addicted to internet that they have neglect the important of the communication and activity in real life that some of them lack necessary knowledge to communicate with others in real life that they apart from society which is very dangerous not only to themselves but also to our society and country. As mentioned above, technology is a two-edge arrow, which not only make our life more comfortable but also threaten our life if it isn’t being deal with properly. Although there are many accessories, people still able to modify and control it or even find other new ones to substitute them. If deal with it properly, people’s life will become better and better. |

首先从文章的首尾和正文来看，似乎首段观点I partly agree with the notion that technology may decrease our life’s qualities.与整个文章的表达的内容不符，看起来不自然 小失误：the world is get smaller than before，没有这种写法.....is get ..... 建议：when we enjoy the conveniences that supplied by technology, at the same time we suffer accompanying problems and troubles，这句话改一下，有点别扭，when............,at the same time................，有这种写法？ 小失误一个：have neglect the important of the communication and activity ，应该是importance； 另外，Such as many people especially the youth have addicted to internet that they have neglect the important of the communication and activity in real life that some of them lack necessary knowledge to communicate with others in real life that they apart from society which is very dangerous not only to themselves but also to our society and country.这句话，好好改一下，看这别扭，such as 之后分别3个that，好象很有气势（句子很长），不过效果不一定比分开写来的清晰直接； 建议：1.锤炼语言。 2论证过程中不要给人一种你在堆砌论据的感觉，要有体现内在的逻辑性 不管怎么样，我觉得还是要向你学习的，看了论坛里的作文以后，感触很大，所以这些天一边做事，一直在苦心经营自己的作文，我觉得不一定非得在量上有什么要求，更要注意文章的逻辑，每一篇都要全力以赴。 |
