Salts as one of food materials is very necessary for the algae cultivation,but the high salt concentration will repress the microbe’s growth and affect the application in organic water with biological technic.The main reason is that high salinity will descrease the activity of normal microbe’s catalase, the rising salt concentration leads to the water’s osmolarity increase, the plasmolysis occurred due to the dehydration of microbial cells and this will result in the death of microbial cells.Therefore, the biological treatment for high salt wastewater needs to dilute wastewater and make the quality percent under 1%.
