Dear Dr. Liu:
   I am editing a book entitled Activation of CO2 to be published by Elsevier and would like you to contribute a chapter. This book will be part of a series on New and Future Developments in Catalysis and will hopefully be used in libraries, as a graduate level textbook, and as a reference.
   You would be sent an agreement from Elsevier for you to sign in order to participate and to be compensated. The general outline of the book would be:
A. Introduction.
B. Sources of Carbon Dioxide.
C. Environmental Concerns Regarding CO2.
D. Catalysts for Activation of CO2.
E. Catalytic Processes for Activation of CO2.
F. Current Catalytic Processes Using CO2.
G. Economic Analyses Concerning Markets for Activation of CO2.
H. Future Directions.
   Your contribution of 30 single spaced pages (including figures) in any of these areas (besides the Introduction) or a combination of these would be great. The timetable for submission would be:
Signing of Contributors Agreement – April 15, 2011.
First Draft – April 15, 2012.
Revisions Requested – July 15, 2012
Final Submission – September 15, 2012
Correction of Manuscript – November 15, 2012.
Details concerning format and copyright permissions will be provided by Elsevier.
   You are being contacted because you are a leader in this field and have written reviews on this subject in the past. We hope that this book series will be a lasting collection that we can all find helpful. Your contribution would be very much appreciated.
