Abstract:  To enhance understanding on the carbonaceous aerosols over China, aerosol data from International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and regional climate model RegCM3 were used to simulate the temporal and spatial distribution and radiative forcing of the carbonaceous aerosols in 2000. The preliminary results show that carbonaceous aerosols are mostly concentrated in the area of the south of Yellow River and the east of Tibetan Plateau. Referring to the seasonal variation characteristics, the simulation indicates that the maximum value of column burden of the carbonaceous aerosols appears in spring, the second value in winter and the minimum in summer. The radiative forcing of the carbonaceous aerosols is positive on the top of atmosphere (TOA) besides eastern littoral and negative on the ground. The complex mutual action exists in different kinds of aerosols, which indicates that experiments on the distribution and climate effects of aerosols should not add the effects of single aerosols.
