when u know nothing about the real ts structure, u should have to use scan to find the stationary point with highest energy, then do the next. when u are familiar with the reaction and can build a structure quite close to the real ts, u can use opt(ts) to calculate directly. http://muchong.com/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=2442601&fpage=1 |
