[交流] 跟着斑竹写作文-Issue46

Issue46 While some leaders in government, sports, industry, and other areas attribute their success to a well-developed sense of competition, a society can better prepare its young people for leadership by instilling in them a sense of cooperation.

提纲:
1. 合作在每个领域内的重要性
2. 合作对于领导和下属之间的重要性
3. 让步:竞争是我们进步的动力

When we look at those outstanding leaders who have made great success in various fields, what impresses us most is their flaring talent of competition. Without that well-developed sense of competition, they would not have attained all the achievements in face of difficulties and challenges. However, to prepare better leaders, a society should not overemphasis the sense of competition, because the sense of cooperation is becoming more and more important today and in the future for leadership.

Since nowadays, with the rapid development of the world, the situations we might met are becoming more and more complicated than before. No matter in a small organization or conditions between nations and nations, an effective leader is hardly to be a lonely hero than ever before. In the field of science and technology, every discipline entwine together to form a whole, thus it is difficult to make out breakthroughs without cooperation with outsiders of that given subject. Without the introduction of biology, chemistry, we cannot gain such great accomplishment in medical field; without the cooperation of mathematicians and programmers, we could not have so many softwares on computers. And the same is true in other fields: for governments, they need to unite together to settle down global problems like improve polluted environment, combat with drug trafficking and so on; for business men, they need cooperation to handle every aspect of a integrate business operation. The famous example is several years ago, SONY and SUMSANG company opened thousands of patents to each other to reduce cost and enhance profits. It is no more true that if a leader do not know how to cooperate well with others, he/she will soon face fail because of his/her ignorant and narrow sight of his/her realm.

Furthermore, cooperation is indispensable inside any fields or organizations, especially for leaders. An effective leader is not a predator or a dictator, he/she must be a capable mediator and s sophisticate arranger. Otherwise, the subordinates would be reluctant to their cast as perfect and effective as they can. Even if a leader has great ideals, aspirations and wonderful plans, without effective teamwork, this leader would accomplish nothing except his/her dreams and empty plans. When we look through these brilliances and examine the intricacy of effective leadership, we can not deny that without the cooperation with the people or colleagues behind a leader, he/she may not have been standing where he/she is.

However, that is not to say that competition is not important. In fact, competition also plays an influential role in our society. What gives people stress to move on for advanced success in every aspect of our society? What is the motivity for people to improve? Why people have to strive against others? I think competition is the right answer, and it is the lasting impetus to some extant for us human beings. Without a good sense of competition, a leader will soon diminished in this more and more hyper-competitive world in every field.

Competition and cooperation are both essential traits of becoming a successful leader. It is the combination of the two make the world progress. We should not overemphasis the effect of competition, because in this more and more complex society which calls for the growing role of cooperative alliances and efforts in solving the world's most pressing problems and make more advancements, we’d better instill our young people with a well-sense of cooperation.
