Dear all, I am curious about the theoretical (computational) explanation of the reason why 1,2,4-triazole is better than imidazole when Pt electrode is used. We have done much experimental work showing that imidazole poinsons Pt while 1,2,4-triazole is much better. Any one who is able to do it, please contact me I am very interested in cooperation with you on the theoretical explanation for the paper we are writing. The paper is aiming at Electrochemisty Communication. If you can help us explain why imidazole poisons Pt and why 1,2,4-triazole doesn't poison Pt electrode, you will surely be the 2nd author. And we just need a brief explanation using computational chemistry (e.g. ab initio etc) Thanks! ps: I am in Germany. My contact email is: proticils@gmail.com. one paper as case in point is: Fluorinated Imidazoles as Proton Carriers for Water-Free Fuel Cell Membranes http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/ja046999y |
