Do People Have to Be Dyed by Our Society?

[非教师] I have a date with my friend on QQ this night. We chatted a lot casually at the beginning. When the topic referred his late father, he felt sorry to his father. His father was dead last month. He told me that he was born in a poor village and has a little brother and a little sister. Therefore, he had to shoulder great pressures when he graduated from his university. It is not easy for him to find a decent job because his major is not popular at that moment, most important is he did not like his major. He said he had been interviewed nearly five-hundred times, and now he must be an expert in any interview. However, his father could not understand his situation. His family was indeed poor at that time, and needed his job after all. So father often criticized him for his not making enough money. In fact, he had done his best to hunt for a job. He told me for the first time that he actually cried for several nights when he felt guilty for his family. Many years passed, he had got rid of the poor life and supported him and his family well. Though he is a project manager now, he is still very kind to his friends and his family members, because he grew up from life of hardship and understood it deeply. He seldom thinks about himself, but all of the people around him. He often gives his supports to his friends who need help, materially or mentally. I think he is a real nice man. He felt sorry about his father because he has not done as what his father said when he was young. However, I think he did that task in another way which he liked. I think he has already achieved his success in some extent on his career, but he is still kind to each other and never boost himself. I believe this point is great important. It is said that our society is like a dye vat, and nearly everybody have to be dyed in it and become complicated and sophisticated human. I am a little afraid of it. However, I am looking at a person who is genuine and kind to each other, when he came out from that so called "dye vat". [ Last edited by 德德亦菲 on 2006-7-5 at 23:03 ] |
