Journal of Nanomaterials是一个SCI收录的国际性期刊,2009年的影响因子是1.023.这个期刊旨在发表纳米材料合成、表征、应用方面的文章,具体关于该杂志的介绍可以登陆官方网站(http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/)了解。 本人跟业内几个同事应约做一个关于电催化剂合成、表征与应用方面的特刊,具体信息如下(http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/si/ecrer.html): Topics of the Special Issue: Electrocatalysts in Renewable Energy Research Call for Papers: Great research efforts have been directed to the areas of sustainable clean energy in recent years. Electrocatalyst receives renewed attention for its critical role in the renewable energy research. One example is proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), in which active electrocatalysts are needed for both cathodic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and anodic hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR). Small molecules like methanol, ethanol, and formic acid are alternative fuels. The current development of electrocatalyst will help PEMFCs become competitive for commercial uses in the foreseeable future. Besides fuel cells, electrocatalyst is also widely used in many other areas important to energy research such as hydrogen and oxygen generation and CO2 reduction. Electrocatalyst is generally being used in the form of nanomaterials, which maximize their effective surface and thus reduce the amount of usage of noble metals. For practical applications, activity, stability, and cost are three important issues. Studies have shown strong correlations between the catalytic performance and the composition, shape, and structure of the nanomaterials. Rational design and preparation of these nanomaterials are thus crucial in the development of a good electrocatalyst. The aim of this special issue is to expose the readers to the current progress in this area. We intend to focus on the topics important in the new development of catalysts that have high activity and stability at low cost. Research papers and review articles with emphasis on either theoretical simulation or experimental study related to electrocatalyst will fall into the scope of this special issue and are solicited. Potential topics include, but are not limited to: Theoretical calculation, simulation, and modeling Preparation of new electrocatalyst Characterization of catalyst performance in ORR Characterization of catalyst performance in HOR, methanol oxidation reaction (MOR), formic acid oxidation reaction (FAOR), ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR), hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) Characterization of catalytic properties in CO2 reduction reaction and other electrochemical reactions relevant to the renewable energy research Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/guidelines.html.
