【Discussion】Why do u learn English？

Sometimes I think about why I have to learn English and try so hard.About 1 month ago,I met a USA guy,who is teaching spoken English.He asked me the same question.So,let's discuss the meaning of learning English or other language! My reasons r as below: 1.I can know more about the world.I can understand better when I check foreign websites or watch BBC,CNN news,American TV and movies.My horizon has widen because I can understand English. 2.I can make more friends because I can speak English.For scientific research,brain storm is of importance.Communicating with different kinds of ppl can give me sparks.In my spare time,when I chatting with some foreigners or returned student,I can know more about the world and their experience. 3.I can understand English paper and write paper in English.English paper is an important part of my life.In my university,u couldnt get the master degree if u didnt have an english paper published. 4.I hope I can see the world,especially North America one day.I should be ready before the opportunity came. So,what about u?  pls share them with me! so I can persuade myself when I was lazy  At the same time,I want to learn Japanese for a simple reason-I like Japanese cartoon and digital products. | at the beginning, for test. then, for work. now it is only for communicated with foreigner. it is a tool for my. only a tool. I should use it very often. |
