I decide to consult the dictionary for its exact explanation. A layer is one of several levels of substances lying one on top of another. eg. a cake with 3 layers multi-layered/ single-layered you see: Onions do have many layers! and" I have layers " means I have ideas and reflections instead of a dim-witted person.
