[交流] 投稿IJP，但是字数超了怎么办？已有4人参与

前两天投IJP，刚收到编辑来信，没过技术审查。

Before we pass on manuscripts to the Journal Editor, who is responsible for the scientific assessment, we perform an initial check against formal technical criteria (structure of submission, adherence to the Guide for Authors and English language usage).

When you resubmit your manuscript, please also provide a separate sheet listing your responses to the problems that were raised and upload it under the submission item 'Responses to Technical Check Results'. 1) Rapid communications should not exceed 1500 words, excluding Abstract and References.

2) Line numbering is mandatory and must be provided for every line on your manuscript file. Please number the lines of your manuscript continuously throughout using your word processing software line numbering feature. You can find the line numbering feature in Microsoft Word under File- Page setup. Under the Layout tab in Page setup, you will see "Line Numbering" in the bottom left hand corner. Select this and then check the box for "Add line numbering" and select "Continuous".

1、字数限定在1500字，我看已发表的文章都有3800字的，为什么他们的可以呢？是不是字数超了可以给编辑写信说明呀？
2、第二条看不懂，是什么意思呢？
3、信的后面这段字是不是说我的英语不好？还是官方话，给谁发都有？

1，只有对特别的paper，可以放宽字数要求。所以你还是要按照要求缩减字数
2，教你如何用work把你的paper中的行数标记出来
3，套话，不必理会
