| I think it makes more sense to impose some sort of data completeness criteria. For example, given that we are calculating 12 month averages at sites with significant seasonality, it would make sense that we only calculate averages for 12-month periods where there are no more than 2 consecutive months of 'missing data' (meaning months w/ a significant amount of rainfall - say 10 mm or more - and no isotope measurement). This would keep us from calculating values that reflect a significant seasonal bias. |
