A    涂层对底材的保护在很大程度上受涂层和底材之间界面性质的影响,因此对涂层/底材界面做深入研究,寻找并建立数学模型来反应涂层和底材的作用关系,快速预测涂层和底材之间的附着力,对涂料配方设计和改进、提高涂层对底材的保护能力具有很强的理论指导意义和实际应用价值。
B    本文首先从涂料与底材间的润湿关系入手,对液体涂料涂覆中的沾湿、浸湿和铺展过程分别建立热力学模型,讨论了涂料表面吉布斯能、底材表面吉布斯能以及底材表面粗糙程度等因素对润湿效果的影响,证明了底材的可润湿性和润湿程度与底材表面吉布斯能、粗糙程度以及涂料液体表面吉布斯能有密切关系。推导出底材吉布斯能的增加有利于涂料在底材表面的润湿过程的进行。当底材表面吉布斯能大于涂料液体的表面能时,沾湿、浸湿能自发的进行,并且随着底材表面粗糙程度的增加,此两种润湿程度加深;而在此条件下,铺展过程不一定能自发的进行。
C    本文进一步对影响涂层与底材间附着力的因素进行了研究,根据建立的润湿热力学模型,找到了提高涂层与金属底材、塑料底材附着力的方法:-
D   以聚氨酯涂层与金属底材的附着为例,着重讨论了底材粗糙度、底材预处理,液体涂料极性官能团数目(DMPA的掺入量)对附着力的影响。实验结果表明:对金属底材表面预处理(打磨、除锈、脱脂、磷化、喷砂)、增加涂料配方中极性官能团的数目、控制树脂软硬段之间的比例、保持涂料一定的黏度对提高涂层与底材附着力具有明显的作用。
E    以聚丙烯塑料底材为例,重点讨论了提高塑料用涂料对塑料底材附着力的方法,分别从聚丙烯塑料的表面前处理(机械打磨,化学氧化)、树脂以及溶剂的选择等方面入手,通过实验得出以下结论:对聚丙烯塑料进行表面前处理特别是化学氧化能够有效的提高其表面吉布斯能,让涂料更容易润湿底材;底材粗糙度的增加也能有效增加润湿程度,但当粗糙度增大到一定数值时,会影响涂层对底材的附着力;由于聚丙烯塑料的特性,选择与其结构类似的氯化聚丙烯树脂时,附着性能表现良好;采用改性的氯化聚丙烯或氯含量在25%的等规氯化聚丙烯作为塑料底漆或者附着力促进剂时,涂层与底材间的附着力更佳。对聚丙烯塑料制品来说,由于其结晶度高、耐溶剂性好等特点,使得在溶剂的选择上也具有一定的难度,本文选取的一组混合有机溶剂能有效提高涂层与聚丙烯塑料底材间的附着力。

A、The nature of the interface between coating and substrate has a great effect on the protection which provide by coating. So further study of coating / substrate interface is performed.

We find and construct  mathematical models to show the relationship between coatings and substrate and the models can quickly predict the adhesion between the coating and substrate.

It has a strong theoretical significance and practical value on design and improvements of the coating formulation and enhance the protection coating on the substrate.

B、This article is based on wetting relationship between coating and substrate. We established thermodynamic models of the wetting rate and spreading in the process of painting of liquid paint.

Factors which have effect on the wet result such as  the paint surface Gibbs energy, the substrate surface Gibbs energy as well as substrate surface roughness   were discussed.

It is  proved that the wetting ability and wetting degree of substrate are closely related with the surface Gibbs energy  and roughness of substrate  and coating liquid surface Gibbs energy . Gibbs energy derived substrate is conducive to the increase of the substrate coating process for wetting the surface.

When the substrate surface Gibbs energy is greater than the surface energy of the liquid coating, the wet process can be spontaneous. With the increase of the substrate surface roughness, wetting degree increased . In this condition , the spreading process may not necessarily be spontaneous.

C、This paper further studied factors which affected the adhesion between the coating and substrate. According to the established thermodynamic model of wetting, and method to  improve the adhesion between substrate coated with metal, plastic substrate  is discovered.

D、Take adhesion between Polyurethane coating and the metal substrate  for example, focused on the impact of adhesion of the substrate roughness, substrate pretreatment, the number of polar functional groups of liquid coatings (incorporation of  DMPA ) .

The results show that: the preparation on metal substrate surface  (grinding, rust removal, degreasing, phosphating, sandblasting), an increase in the number of polar functional groups of coating formulations , the control of the ratio between soft and hard segments, and maintain  certain paint viscosity play a significant role in improving the adhesion between coating and substrate .

E、Take Polypropylene plastic substrates for another example, focused on method to improve adhesion of plastic coatings and the plastic substrate ,
based on polypropylene plastic surface pretreatment (mechanical polishing, chemical oxidation), resins and solvent selection ,we got following conclusions through experiments: pretreatment on the surface of polypropylene plastic,the  especially chemical oxidation pre-treatment can effectively improve the surface Gibbs energy,makes it much easier to wet the substrate coating.

The increase in substrate roughness can also effectively increase wetting degree, but when the roughness increases to certain value, it will affect the adhesion of coating on the substrate.

Because of the characteristics of polypropylene plastic, selected chlorinated polypropylene resin similar to its structure has a great adhesion.

When we take the modified chlorinated polypropylene or chlorine content of 25% isotactic chlorinated polypropylene as the plastic primer or adhesion promoter, the adhesion between the coating and the substrate is better.

Because of its high crystallinity, solvent resistance and other characteristics, Polypropylene plastic products makes the choice of solvent also much more difficult.

In this paper we selected a group of mixed organic solvents which can improve adhesion between the coating and the polypropylene plastic  substrate.
