【Discussion】Copy Other People's Articles

| It is said that the president of Hebei university copied other people's articles for his Ph.D thesis. I have heard such news for a long time. Before I went to the laboratory, once I had a talk with a Ph.D advisor who got his Ph.D in MIT. His major was plasma. He told me it was NOT rare that many teachers copied other people's academic achievements. And it also existed in Tsinghua. I was shocked then, because I thought it may be true in not-so-good universities, but it was impossible for Tsinghua. Just a few days ago, I went for a doctor forum. I heard a professor, who was Yang Zhenning's student, had left our department for Michigen State University. Before leaving, he gave a talk. And he said, "You could keep silent, but if you speak, please don't give FALSE speech". It is obvious that he wanted to say that there was something bad happened, that was about academics. I don't like such things. I promise I won't do that. It is not your work. Why do you copy other people's work? That's rediculous. |

| It is irresponsible for our country and our life to copy other's assey.As a researcher, I think it is one of the worst phenomenon.why we can't stop it by ourselves.every researcher cane be the architector of a new science phonemenon in our courtry.I kenoe many people can public assey for can be promoted to a advanced position by money.such as teacher.doctor.engineer.These people don't have a foresight.you can cheat publinc and our country but you can't cheat that for a life time.I believe our sience phenomenon would became more clear and methodical. |

there would be some successful person, who is very proficent at his reserach field, he or she may have many dissertation, which have high influnence factors. when we accept firstly our reserach direction, we may look for the giant in our fields, we admire him, and very hope one day we would be the person just having the same achivements. however, who knows it is not true or not usually ture that behand the light there still are some dark things. it is very sharmful to recognize our academy filicit. as one of reserachers, i hope one day we will have a justice reserach envirnoment. |
