[交流] 【Share】Prospects for bullet trains

China is now among the few countries that possess the key technologies to build high-speed rail. There has been another high-speed railway into operation Tuesday morning, which links Shanghai, the country's economic hub, and Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province. The train is designed to run at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour on the 202-kilometer-long railway. A one-way journey previously took two hours. But the new train shortens that to less than 40 minutes.
    China's first train running more than 350 kilometers per hour connected Beijing and Tianjin and was opened in 2008. It was built using technology pioneered in Germany.
    Shanghai-Hangzhou rail line set a new speed record by clocking 416 kilometers per hour. It is a new world speed records and was built using domestic technology.

What I'm concerning about is the other side of the bullet train-safety. I can't imagine when an accident occurs, collision, derail...
