【Sad】Search efforts in Taiwan

It's been more than six days since a group of mainland tourists went missing in Taiwan during a typhoon disaster. Their tour bus was swept down a steep mountain slope by a landslide on the island's east coast. Now hope of finding survivors is fading. Heavy rain and another landslide are making things difficult. It is said that the visibility is less than 66 centimeters, search and rescue diver of Taiwan is facing a tough rescue condition. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has set up an emergency alert, and some officials joined the rescue process. It's believed that some of passengers might have fallen into the ocean. Remains found in the open sea near Ilan county indicate they could have been carried northward by the current. (from CNN) |
