一篇投稿Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A的漫长等待

今年1月7号投文章到Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A， 1月8号文章status变为“under consideration”， 3个月后仍不见消息，就给编辑发了封催稿信，编辑告诉我key reader没有回音，他一直在email他赶快给出审稿意见。 再过1个月后，仍不见文章的消息，我又发了封催稿信，编辑告诉我那个key reader 失踪了，我晕  。编辑说他再找另外的key reader给我审。又过了3个月，我第三次发催稿信。编辑告诉我，现在找的这个key reader一直没有回复，老天啦，什么倒霉事情都让我给碰上了，我狂汗  。这样到了9月份，我第四次发催稿信，编辑告诉我key reader已经作了决定了，听到这个消息，我很高兴，现在也不想去担心文章被枪毙不枪毙，只是想立即要一个结果。 苦苦等了一个月还是没有消息，心里很不爽  ，于是第五次写催稿信，打算撤稿了。今天打开邮箱看到了编辑给的决定  ：Dear XXX: Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in returning a recommendation on your manuscript. Our review committee has advised us that the material in your manuscript is essentially suitable for publication as a Technical Publication in Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A. However, a considerable mandatory revision has been recommended before publication. This revision is described by the enclosed comments of the review committee. These comments are intended to be constructive; you may assume that if they are used in a reasonable way, the revised manuscript will be approved for publication. I also realize that major comments of the reviewers pertain to the English language of your manuscript and so I hope that it will be possible for you to obtain advice from English-speaking colleagues on how to substantially improve your presentation. This is very important in order to make your paper clear and readable. Your letter of transmittal should indicate explicitly how you have responded to the reviewer comments. The results are of both scientific and technological interest.
