The modeling was evaluated by the determination coefficient (R2) and the adjusted determination coefficient (R2 adj), shown fromthe ANOVA results. The R2 value provides ameasure of the variability in the observed response values. Generally, a regression model with an R2 higher than 0.90 is considered to have a very high correlation . The R2adj value indicates the fraction of variation of the response explained by the model adjusted for degrees of freedom . If there are many terms in the model and the sample size is not very large, the R2 adj value may be noticeably smaller than R2. The closer the R2 adj value is to unity, the better the model fit the experimental data and consequently, the smaller the difference between the predicted and observed values . In our case,R2 adj= 0.9339, which is very close to the R2 value (0.9764), indicating a high level of significance and accuracy of the model |
