Job Title: Postdoctor Position in Optical Chemcial Sensors/Biosensors Job Number: 4008078 Date Posted: 09/25/2010 Application Deadline: Open Until Filled Job Description A postdoctoral fellow position in optical sensors is available immediately. A Ph.D. degree in materials science, chemistry, physics or related fields is required. Hands-on experience construction and testing of optical gas-sensors or biosensors is required. Experience in fiber optics is an asset. Experience in fluorescent sensors, Raman sensors or microfluidic chips is plus. Knowledge in materials synthesis, surface functionalization and bio-conjugation is desirable. The prospective candidate should also have excellent oral and written communications skills. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Evaluation of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
