Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ovarian Cancer Job Number: 4008062 Date Posted: 09/21/2010 Application Deadline: Open Until Filled Job Description Applications are invited for a post-doctoral fellowship starting as soon as possible at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in the laboratory of Dr. Robert C. Bast, MD. This laboratory focuses on basic and translational research in ovarian and breast cancer. Specific interests include biomarkers for early detection of ovarian cancer, autophagy and tumor dormancy, the potentiation of taxane- based therapies, modification of microtubule stability, and imprinted tumor suppressor genes. Candidates must hold a MD or PhD degree and are expected to have a strong background in cellular and/or molecular biology, biochemistry and microscopy and ideally should have experience in working with mouse models. They should also possess strong independent research abilities and scientific interests, self motivation and the ability to work effectively with a team.
