Short description of project The project involves code development and implementation of VASP and Wien2k. These Fortran90 codes are large program packages on national high-performance supercomputers with MPI, used in atomistic modeling of semiconductor materials. The candidates should be in the field of physics, with special interest in programming and code developments. Various theoretical models will be implemented in the program packages, tested, and verified by calculating material properties of semiconductors. Our research activities are focused on materials for solar energy technology, and the candidate will be part in our search for novel materials and material structures.
