The custom associate with eating moon-cake in mid-autumn festival

Mid-autumn festival is an important festival in China. Eating moon-cake on this day is a custom. But I never understand the reason why all of people eat moon-cake on the day. Among all of the snaks I have ever eaten, moon-cake is the worst one, and I never like to eat it if at the same time other snaks are supplied for choice. Several years ago I read the reports that some foodstuff factories made moon-cake using stale fillings. Since then I have stuck to not eating moon-cake on mid-autumn festival. The day of mid-autumn festival is always wonderful, in spite of my dislikeness of moon-cake. On the day I can taste other delicious foods and fruits.
