The Chemical Engineering program is ranked number one in the U.S. by the National Research Council. Experience in standard methods of molecular biology and biochemistry is required. Experience in synthetic biology and/or flow cytometry is desirable. Applicants should have or expect to receive a doctoral degree in biological sciences, bioengineering, or other related areas. The objective is to engineer synthetic bacterial communities that produce biodiesel.
