The Institute for Theoretical Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (ITAMP), funded by the National Science Foundation, engages in research and welcomes researchers in all areas of theoretical atomic, molecular and optical physics. Current topics of active interest include: ultracold atomic collisions, cold molecule formation, quantum degenerate gases, few-body and long-range interactions, coherence effects in quantum and non-linear optics, atoms and molecules in strong fields, atomic and molecular astrophysics, quantum information science, quantum simulations of strongly correlated systems, and atomic interactions on the nanoscopic scale. The Institute is located at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and the Harvard University Physics Department in Cambridge, Massachusetts. |
