thanks ,the way of 1 and 3 have been used but the result is not good.I want to ask what EDX and RBSD in the way of 2 is,it may be a software or a testing method. I remembered it is the laster.

Do you have a scale bar on your SEM photos? If so, it should be easy to figure out the thickness of the coating.

If you do not have a scale bar and if your SEM photo is an electronic version, you may then reload your file into the SEM computer which should be able to recalcuate the thickness.

Otherwise, it will be tough to get the thickness information.

The best way is to measure thickness while you SEM your samples.

I think you should use imageJ to handle your sem photo.
It is easy to gain the thickness.

thanks a lot,I have the scale bar in my SEM photo .but the thickness in my SEM photo is not invariable,so I want to get a statistical average result by some software or some ways
