Studies on chemical constituents from stem barks of Fraxinus paxiana By: Ma, Zhijing; Zhao, Zhijuan From Zhongguo Zhongyao Zazhi (2008), 33(16), 1990-1993. Language: Chinese, Database: CAPLUS The objective of this study is to investigate the chem. constituents of Fraxinus paxiana. The chem. constituents were isolated and purified by chromatog. techniques and the structures of the compds. were identified with or by spectroscopic methods. Fifteen compds. were obtained from the methanol ext. of F. paxiana and their structures were elucidated as esculin (1), esculetin (2), fraxin, fraxetin (4), salidroside (5), osmanthuside H (6), liriodendrin (7), 3-(4-β-D-glucopyranosyloxy-3-methoxy)-phenyl-2E-propenol (8), threo-syringylglycerol (9), euscaphic acid (10), 3-hydroxy-l-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxy-phenyl)-1-propanone (11), ω-hydroxy propioguaiacone (12), sinapyladehyde (13), betulinic acid (14), and mannitol (15).
