Weifang,a place I take into heart In 1988 ,I was born in a county of Weifang.From then on,I remember the name.Weifang is located in the central part of Shandong province,and palys an important role in transportation. In economy,as a fast-developing city,it contributes a lot to Shandong's GDP.There are so many famous companies in Weifang,such as WEICHAI POWER,SINOER and FOTON.Every year,these enterprises get large benefits from their own operations and managements.Not only do they provide many work opportunities,but also pull the regional development. The most important point is that Weifang has a long history and various culture,and this means a lot in Shandong,which is deeply influenced by Confucianism.Many celebrities were born or lived in the place,such as Gong Yechang,Zhu Geliang,Jia Sixie,Zhang Zeduan and Zheng Banqiao. The stories about them are passed along from generation to generation.The Yangjiabu Woodcut from Weifang has earned a repulation for many years.What's more,as is known to all,it is called ''The World Kite Capital'',and welcome lots of friends from abroad each year. I love my hometown,and I miss the kind people there much.The place,modern and old, is my root,and it has been planted into my heart.At last,I would sincerely say when it's convenient for you to pay a visit to Weifang,and please grasp the chance.You will get masses of surprises .I promise. |

i am from henan province.my county town's name is Minquan, it is named for one of the Three People's Principles which is mentioned by Sunzhongshan~~ maybe it is founded for not a long time, just several decades, but our city is existed for about 4000 years,its name is shangqiu~~ shangqiu is existed from BC 24 century, now it is a very important railroad junction of southern and northern China~~ |
