Hello there, this is the third of a series of posts. Let's play with English and that's what it is all about in the English Cafe, isn't it.

For every post, an English sentence will be shown. You are asked to vote for whether it is correct or not. If you think that’s wrong, then please give your correction. 1. I think "the people" is not specific and may make confusions as it normally represents not several or few, but a bunch of individuals. How can people make one man wounded?  

2. Just is more proper than but. Also, you could say "were willing" followed by "but".
