[交流] 【Original】Do you know the "Begging for Skills Festival"

It is very known that  the the Qixi festival is also called Double-seven festival,  also
Chinese  valentine's day.  Yesterday, I see the EXPLORATIONS  in  CCTV10 , and  know that  the festival is also called the "Begging for Skills Festival" or the "Daughters' Festival. Do you  know that?     It is  very intresting  history  in  traditional  culture.

I find the following interpretation somewhere:

Begging for skills: People have a custom of begging the weaving girl to teach them needlework and weaving skills on the Double Seven Festival. Girls hold weaving and needlework competitions on the day of the festival to see who has the quickest mind and the most skillful hands. As such, the Seventh Evening Festival is also called the "Begging for Skills Festival" or the "Daughters' Festival."
