[交流] 【Original】National mourning for mudslide victims

Welcome to Yummy Land!
15th   August ,Rainy, NJ
    Wake up in the morning every day, we begin a brand new day. Some days are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested, just like today, exact 7 days after the devastating mudslide hit Zhouqu County which left at least 1,248 people dead and 496 missing.
    Thousands of people gathered at Tian’anmen Square early this morning to watch a national flag hoisted to full height and then lowered to half-mast, mourning the mudslide victims.
    Large-scale national display of mourning is rare in China which saw a three-day national mourning period after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, and one-day period after the Yushu quake on April 14 this year. Today is the third times.
    China has been hit by abnormal weather and frequent natural calamities in the year 2010. All the pain and hardships we’ve endured will become impetus for us to move forward.
    Come on, Zhouqu!
    PS:
School is power off today from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Disgusting!

yummy land has the same meaning with interesting land or funny land, cause my BF want it to be his personal region's name.
we just watched it on TV.
