To gain accurate pronunciation, followings are some suggestions: 1, crazy english does not help (too much). This IS truely a misleading campaign...it could not even bring your confidence. Actually, confidence comes with your thought. I would better explain what I mean. On one hand, if you are speaking loudly, without awareness of your accent problems, then probably you are repeating inaccuracy "loudly", resulting in no improvements; on the other hand, if you are aware of your accent and able to cure the problem, confidence will come naturally with your oral presentation. 2. tips on how to improve: a. Speak flat English, no intonation. Follow some materials from media will help. b. Do NOT try to pronounce English word in chinese phonetic system. They are totally different. Follow the instructions closely. c. be ...alert to some words with odd pronunciation: eg. receipt. |
