Dear xxxx: Many thanks for your interest- from your CV and expertise it seems as if you may fit well into our research group. However, at this time we do not have any funding for postdoctoral positions so if you were to come you would have to obtain an external scholarship. I am sorry for this less than perfect news and wish you luck in your search for a position.
