Hello there, this is the first one of a series of posts. Let's play with English and that's what it is all about in the English Cafe, isn't it.

For every post, an English sentence will be shown. You are asked to vote for whether it is correct or not. If you think that’s wrong, then please give your correction. That would be great if you can give any explanation on it as well. At last, the best answer and two runner ups will be selected. It is believed that the administrators will reward you heavily.

Ok, here is the sentence, please cast the vote and drop a note.

Let us break the sentence down. 1. His head was broken 2. (after or simultaneously) His head was bleeding.
Bleed means "to take or remove blood from". Here we don't use passive voice because bleed here in itself is passive.
