【Discussion】My view on "the weather man" ...

I've been wandering in this square for a few days, finally decide two write sth ... Today I saw a movie, its name is"The Weather Man" by Nicolas Cage ... It describle a person named Dave who is divorced with two kids, had a father who is dying. He works as a weather reporter who is continuously attacked by different people. As a father, a husband, a son his life was in a mess ... He never gave up to fix all the things up, but it just turned out to be worse ... -- He spent time with the kids, he tought his daughter do not easily give up, but get blamed by his wife and get annoyed by his daughter as he broke her daughter's leg accidently. -- His carefully prepared speech & a beautiful song is ruined by power-down -- For several time we wanna find a way back to love with his wife, like throwing a snow ball to her wife but it accidently hits her face & broke the glasses, like attending a class to build up the mutual trust which at last ruined by his curiosity, like bringing back foods they likes but forgeting the sauce. At last he thought his winning on career can redeem everything, but the reality beats him again harshly, her wife told him she was getting married ... Honestly, I am pretty upset and a little sick when seeing all these, why that's so unfair, so frustrating ... Then the movie gives a very interesting turn. Just the moment he accepted her wife's marriage, his life & all the things, he was like throwing away a heavy burden and he saw a ray of hope. Then he got a new job with a decent sallary ... Life is somewhat unpredictable, just like the unsteady weather. One can never know what he would like the next minute, it is hard to say it good or just bad. This uncertain also makes life full of surprise and challenging, ... It is people who are too obssessed, and wanna things happen the way they want, finally hurt themselves when their willingness cannot be satisfied... There are things we need to commit and let it go ... |
