With an addition of La, the sample C particles has a prismatic shape with an uneven distribution and a relatively loose aggregation. As shown in the figure, the sample D particles, La-CdS/TiO2, also has a prismatic shape but with an even distribution and a loose structure. That is suitable for absorbing the substrate methyl orange and increasing the contact area between the samples. As a result, the efficiency of light-catalyzed reaction could be enhanced. |
