Remark: I saw this group of pictures today. It is the life of childrens living in the Wu Meng Mountains. I don't know where it is. I know their life are surrounded by the high mountains. Their life is miserable, but it is not Mountains' fault. Actually, nobody should be blamed. But we should pay more attention to them and try our best to help when we could. I share these picture from the link above. And I translate the related notes.


NOTE: This peaceful country is beautiful, surrounded by high mountains. It is beautiful, because it is not disturbed by modern civilization!


NOTE: She is only 15 years old, but also a mother of a 1 and half-year-old baby.


NOTE: She is 17 years old, but also a 5-grade student in a primary school!


NOTE: Looking at his feet, I cried.


NOTE: It is very common  here that children wear adults' shoes.


NOTE: This kind of wearing style is not strange here.


NOTE: They can't go home when the morning classes are over as their homes are quite distant.




NOTE: Some potatoes and some paprika(辣椒面) is their lunch. Dip the potato into the paprika and eat it. It is quite simple. Potatos and Paprika follow them for the whole studying life.


NOTE: Two boys are sitting on the ground and eating a kind of plant called azalea(映山红). They are not normal vegetables, and taste tart(涩)!


NOTE: It is not rare. They have no chairs, and have to stand listening to the teachers.


NOTE: Because of lacking of desks and chairs. a log is acting as a row of chairs.


NOTE: Many schools can't provide accomodations for children. They have to go over high mountains to go home and go to school every day! It is dangerous.


There are many other pictures in this group. They are not astonishing as I saw many similar pictures. The world needs people's care and love. I hope one day I could do something for them. On the other hand, mountains may be the biggest obstacle for its development. But without mountains, the beautiful nature would be destroied. We are going back to the choice: economics or environment? Yes, it is hard to choose, but I believe there is a way out. That is that people should care about both of rural areas' development and the environment.
