My English was not good since the very begining. I found it very hard for me to remember and use so many different English rules. I always got low scores in English tests.

Things changed when I was in the second year in senior middle school. I didn't know why, but I found the English teacher paid special attention to me. She was a nice woman (Now she had a baby). She cared much about me and my English. I decided to study English hard probably because of her extra care. I remembered very well that at one noon, I went to a bookstore just opposite to the school gate. And I bought some English magzines, one of which I still read is "Crazy English for the Readers". I like this magzine, as its contents include many aspects in our daily life. I formed a habit of reading this magzine regularly. You can't image how hard it is for me to read such a thin magzine from cover to cover for the first time. I have to look up to the dictionary as I didn't knw many vocabularies. I took notes and wrote the Chinese meaning and phonetic symbols beside every unknown word. Gradually, my English is better. I remembered once I got the first prize in one ordinary English exam with 109. 109 was quite low as the full mark is 150. But that was the highest scores. I felt satisfied. I liked that the English teacher told everyone in that class that I got the hightes mark.

SO this story gives one suggestion we shall read an English Magzine regularly no matter how hard it is for the first time!
P.S. My high-school classmates were astonished by my keeping the habit of reading "Crazy English for the Readers" in my college life.

Another thing I shall mention is that I chat with people in QQ in ENGLISH. That is my personal style. It helped me a lot. Maybe in the beginning, it is too slow to express our ideas by typing English. But in fact, it took little time for me to be used to chatting in English. All of my friends know I like chatting in QQ in English. When chatting, we have to express ourselves using simplest Englsh sentences. There is no doubt that we are developing our writing skills. I always encourage people to use simple sentences. Actually in daily life, all people use simple sentences or words.

SO this story provides a good way to improve our writing, that is to chat QQ in English. Even Chiglish is pretty OK.

The last thing I have to emphasize is that interest is the best teacher. We have to cultivate the interest if we want to do sth. well. It is difficult to give specific steps to cultive the interest. But I think everybody has his/her interest. Maybe it is playing games. Tht is OK. Playing games makes us happy, so we play games. If we want to learn English well, we have to find the happiness of learning English. For me, it is not only a tool of communication. I am not good at expressing my feelings in Chinese.  But with the help of English, I can easily say you are so nice or that is very kind of you.

In one word, I like English.

PS I like reading fairy tales. Every winter, I went home with a few English fairy tales. Here are some books I like best.
1) wind of willow ( a story about animals)
2) secret garden (a story about children )
3) pinnochio ( a story about a boy growing from bad to good)
4) the jungle story ( it is about animals, I haven't finished)
