When I was a child, I like every festival, especially the spring festival. Spring festival means no school, no claims, lots of delicious food, and Yasuiqian, though it was much less than today's children are given.
Today, I'm a grown-up, and I know that every festival has it's own meaning.
The Qingming festival is a day of memorization and people swept their ancestor's tombs;
The Dragon Boat festival-I'd rather call it Duanwu festival cause there is no dragon boat in my hometown-is a special day to memorize a great poet-Quyuan.
At the Mid-Autumn,one should reunion with one's family to make the family full like a moon;
People celebrating the spring festival, generally said guo nian, to avoid the evil spirits and wish a good luck in the next year;
The Lantern festival means the end of the Spring festival. People make many beautiful lanternes and light fireworks for the last carnival day. It also means the beginning of work. Everyone should return to their orbits.
To me, I think festival is a break to refresh myself and an oppotunity to enhance relations with family members.
