In this research, liposomes were prepared by emulsion drying method with berberine as model drug. The organic phase, with soy lecithin as surfactant, polyethylene glycol as scaffold, together with the water phase dissolving berberine, 0% (2.5%, 5%, 10%) and sucrose (preservative) were mixed according to oil phase / water phase volume ratio of 3:1. W / O type emulsions were obtained after ultrasonic emulsification, and then freeze-dried products were gained after lyophilization, finally the liposomes formatted by rehydrating. In this study, a single factor experiment was designed to detect the appropriate solvent, phospholipid content and additive, furthermore the chosen experiment method was validated by the index of encapsulation efficiency. Therefore, the freeze-dried products obtained in this way are of high encapsulation efficiency, stable properties and long-term preservation.
