These ten volumes provide an excellent, in-depth overview of all nanomaterial types and their uses in the life sciences. Each volume is dedicated to a specific material class and covers fundamentals, synthesis strategies, structure-property relationships, material behaviour finetuning, biological effects and applications in the life sciences. All important material classes are covered: metallic, metal oxide, magnetic, carbon, polymeric, composite and semiconducting nanomaterials as well as nanostructured surfaces and films. IMAGING & DIAGNOSTICS Quantum Dots for Cancer Imaging Quantum Dots for Targeted Tumor Imaging Multiplexed Bio-imaging using Quantum Dots Multiplexed Detection using Quantum Dots Medical Diagnostics of Quantum Dot Based Protein Micro and Nanoarrays Imaging and Tracking of Viruses Using Quantum Dots THERAPY Nanomaterials for Radiation Therapy Prospects of Semiconductor Quantum Dots for Imaging and Photodynamic Therapy of Cancer SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND TOXICOLOGY Type-I and Type-II Core-Shell Quantum Dots: Synthesis and Characterization Nanowire Quantum Dots Quantum dot-core silica glass-shell nanomaterials: Synthesis, Characterization and Potential Biomedical Applications Toxicology and bio-safety evaluation of quantum dots Challa Kumar is Group Leader Nanofabrication at the Center for Advanced Microstructures and Devices (CAMD) in Baton Rouge, USA. He is the Editor of the ten-volume book series `Nanotechnologies for the Life Sciences? (Wiley-VCH) and founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Biomedical Nanotechnology (ASP). He has authored over thirty scientific publications and holds over ten patents either granted or pending. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in Prashantinilyam, India. He was a post doctoral fellow at Max-Planck Institute for Biochemie in Munich, Germany, followed by eight years of experience working in different chemical industries in various capacities. ![]() http://www.wiley-vch.de/publish/en/books/ISBN978-3-527-32166-7 °³Ã»ÓÐ![]() ![]() ![]() [ Last edited by xinlixi on 2010-5-31 at 09:53 ] |
