今天刚收到这个班的通知，大家要是有兴趣可以去啊，在法国，风景秀丽啊 Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce that the website and application to registration are now open for the Graphene school, initiated by the International research group (GDR-I) GNT (Graphene and Nanotubes). The School is taking place in Carg鑣e, France from October 12 to October October 22, 2010 at the Institut d'Etudes Scientifiques de Carg鑣e. Detailed information about the GDR-I and the School is on our website http://www.graphene-nanotubes.org/en/nanotubes-summer-school.html Deadline for application for registration is June 6 2010. Applicants will be informed of their acceptance on June 21th and will be allowed to proceed then to their registration. Rates indicated in the web site are not yet definitive since we are still waiting for the support of the School by the NATO organization. Participation of PHD students is of the highest priority and special rates will be asked to them in order to encourage their participation at the school. The School is motivated by the recent emergence of graphene which has generated a world-wide - and highly competitive - scientific enthusiasm, due to the extraordinary properties which are expected from graphene-based nano-objects and their derivatives. It will deal with properties and characterisation of monolayers and multilayers of graphene and graphene-based nano-objects, from the points of views of physicists, chemists and material scientists. Both fundamental and applied aspects will be considered. It will offer participants both background lectures, essential for the interdisciplinary approach that is proposed, and specialised courses, which will include the most recent developments in the field. Practical training on numerical simulations and experimentation such scanning tunneling microscopy will be organized.The lecturers of the school are researchers known for their pedagogic skills and internationally recognized for their expertise in the field of graphene. The participants will be encouraged to present their own work (also in adjacent fields) during poster sessions. We hope to see you at the Graphene School at Carg鑣e The organizing committee D.
