【Diary】Playing machiang or going on study? 已有12人参与

As a researher,we should pay our finite energy to our study in order to "create" something as possible as we could.Science reasearch is the only thing we should think over and our's pursue.However,sometimes we have to put our heart to other things we could thought we did not want to.Today,my classmates invite me to play machiang with them.I could have rejected them and I know how to say "no". No pain, no gain.All people here should know that,so do I.Research is a dull thing that somebody thinks.And our time elapse,how to manage our time decides our future.For our postgratuates,going on study would rather more important than playing games,we could not "earn" time and even when we suceed,time that we ever put in study could never bought back,also playing machiang. There is a proverb:Wiseman expoilt time,others use time~ Young researchers,what is your pursiut? |

I'm sorry I can't understand what's "playing machiang"! Would you explain to me in detail? Thank you! I agree with you that "Time and tide wait for no man"! Lost time is never found again,and what we call time enough always proves little enough . We are often warned by our teachers not to waste time, because if time is lost,it will never return. We should value every minute plenty because time lost will never return. Time a thing of the past, do not ignore today because tomorrow, do not let today without the knowledge of your circumstances, with a sad history!   |

I think it is playing "ma jiang" in Chinese pinyin.  I don't think scientifical research is dull. On the contray, it is very interesting. It can satisfy our curiosity about unknown world. |

About this topic, I have some my own opinions. first of all, all these similar proverbs such as "no pain, no gain" have been talked of again and again. But few people can do like that. I think what we should think about is how to insist and accomplish our work more efficiently. Secondly, I don't think playing mahjong is time consuming. By contrary, playing mahjong is very good way to relax your mind and it is much better than you staying at the front of computer. Besides, the proper rest is necessary. finally, also the most important point, I agree with xia_chong that the science research is very interesting. In my opinion, if you want to accomplish your work successfully and even excellently, at first, you should learn to accept them and cultivate your interest in them. That's a precondition to do your work well now and possible your career in future. So, try to accept your work now and love them especially when you want to engage in this field in future. It is important to your life and can keep you have an easy and happy mind all the time. |
