Why violence a sort of vent of resentment? Recently, several bloody murder cases shocked the entire country. The criminals unanimously choose the pupils and kindergarten buds as their targets. These incidents astounded us with brutal and inhuman pictures as well as reconsideration on why violence becomes all the more easy to be resorted to as a mean to deal with their conflicts. The dead have gone, the live are thinking. Thanks to the three decades opening up and reform, the social and economic developments have been greatly enhanced and the well-being of the people has jumped to a higher level. However, under this background, various contradictions and conflictions which do not emerge prominently in the past turn out to be fiercer than ever. People involved in the vortex of chasing fame and fortune gradually become more vulnerable and selfish. They are used to being dominated by egoism and often ignore the interest of others. They care too much about their individual self-esteem and can not put up with any sorts of other’s looking down upon. When they feel their interest damaged, they at once respond using extreme methods. These phenomena go against the construction of harmonious society. Maybe we still have a long way to go in achieving co-development in human virtue and social economy. |
