[交流] 【求助】麻烦帮看看这封邮件，我该怎么回复 已有3人参与

我想联系us老板做访问学者，一个多月来邮件交流了一些想法，这老板说我的生活费有点少，我就解释了一番，说没问题，前几天感觉就要同意了，昨天又来信如下，我感觉是不是有点婉拒的意思，还是他确实不知道访问学者的程序，现在我不知道该怎么回复了，请大家帮我出出主意，谢谢！
I've made a few inquiries and the University can assist with visa requirements and there are basically two different approaches to coming to the US.  There is a visitor request but this is only typically good for an individual (not a family) and for six months.  The more standard approach is to obtain a J-1 visa.   This process is initiated by the university with a letter from me.  However, it also requires proof of income and requires that you have health insurance that meets certain requirements.  I looked over the health insurance requirements and I did something similar to this for a recent extended stay in ***using a travel health insurance but I'm not sure what would be available to you coming to the US.   So those are the areas to start looking at the paperwork.   There would certainly be some additional costs associated with the insurance so that requirement in particular warrants a close look.   Let me know what you think & then we can go from there.  If you do think it's still feasible, we should discuss your interests and work requirements in a little more detail to make sure the work situation would work well for you.

楼主，老师是不太熟悉程序；同时，他是比较负责的老师，感觉。他的意思是你应该走第二种方式，但是他又不能保证你过来后的工作是否对你合适，还有一些附加的费用，如果你觉得可行，就可以了
