Get off to a good start The month-long cloudy and drizzling weather has started to change. Sunny day comes back. Most of us feel light-hearted when the sunshine is cast upon. For me, such delight doubled when I encountered sort of civilized law-enforcement. Last night, I attended a friend’s birthday dinner party in a restaurant.After that, I drove my motorcycle back home without wearing the crash helmet for my home was nearby. To my surprise, there were several policemen standing at the crossroad checking the passing vehicles. I didn’t know what happened. By my own experience, the policemen now have shifted their attention to the private cars rather than the two-wheeled motorcycles. But there left no time for me to dodge. The young policeman found me and saluted me! What a precious salute it is! I regretted not wearing the helmet and prepared to pay for it. “Please show me your driving license and the registration.” The policeman said calmly. “Sorry, I left it home, if you need, I can fetch it.” I answered. “Well, do you have your ID?” He said “Yes, here it is” I handed it out. A moment later, the policeman said gently: “ You may go now, remember bring the cards with you next time.” Great! Unexpected! I have many unpleasant experiences dealing with the policemen. In the past, they are not easy to tackle. If you are waved to stop, you cannot free yourself without paying the penalty. But this time, I did not although I failed to obey the traffic regulation which stipulates a driver must wear crash helmet when driving vehicles. Here, I experienced by myself the friendly law enforcement which in turn works more powerful than harshly orders the penalty. |

| beautiiful english ,I learn several new words from the articles.Thank board poster. I also had the same experience, my boyfriend gave a ride to me at the back seat ,and we went to the centre of our aera , the policemen waved us stop and checked our ID card .we were nevrous that time cause i t was the first time stopped by police. We said sorry lots of times ang sweared we didn't do it again. So at last ,the police was moved by our honest and let us go. threatening but not dangerous, haha...... |
