【2010-4-30】International Symposium on Fluid Catalytic Cracking 【LANZHOU】

May 31-June 2 Lanyuan Jianguo Hotel, Xigu Dist., Lanzhou, Gansu Province, P. R. China FCC: Prolonged Competence in Heavy Oil Upgrading With the crude oil globally becoming heavier and degraded, how to achieve an effective conversion for heavy oil has been becoming a focus in terms of world's energy basic science and technology. Fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) technology has been and will still be a highly efficient and economical means to upgrade heavy oil in the long period. Petrochemical Research Institute (PRI), PetroChina has devoted to R&D in FCC technology over 50 years and established Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil and FCC Pilot Plant recently, setting up the open innovative pla仔òrm for FCC technologies. In order to enhance international communications and collaborations, the 2010 International Symposium on Fluid Catalytic Cracking will take place in Lanzhou, China. The theme of the Symposium is "FCC: Prolonged Competence in Heavy Oil Upgrading". Renowned experts in the field of catalytic materials, cataIysts, FCC processes and technical services will be invited to give plenary lectures, building bridges between academy and industry. The Symposium, sponsored by China National Petroleum Company (CNPC) Science & Technology Management Department, organized by PRI and will take place from May 31 to June 2 in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China. Some announcements are as follows: 1. 5cope of papers delivered The symposium deals with all aspects of research and application achievements related to FCC, such as: 1.1 Preparation and characterization of FCC catalysts 1.2 Synthesis of novel zeolites and the applications 1.3 Novel catalytic materials and catalytic reactions 1.4 Development of evaluation apparatus for FCC 、句 4 1.5 Applications of new FCC catalysts 2. The requirements for papers The papers delivered should not be published previously in any forms. The length of the paper, written in English (Arial font) with 丁2 pt line spacing, is not more than 5 A4 pages, including title (14pt), names of authors (12pt), affiliation (12pt), abstract (10.5pt), preface (10.5pt), results and discussions (10.5pt), conclusions (1 0.5pt), references (1 0.5pt). The abstract is not more than 500 words. The papers accepted are planning to be edited as the Symposium Proceedings. With permission of authors and peer review, the papers will be published in Chinese core science journal "Petrochemical Technology & Application" as a Special Issue. 3.
